Warthin’s Tumour
Benign neoplasm composed of epithelial cells and dense lymphoid tissue. It is the second most common tumour of the salivary glands and occurs almost exclusively in the superficial lobe of the parotid gland. Males have a higher chance of developing a Warthin’s tumour. It may be bilateral and/or multifocal and takes on a soft, pale grey appearance. The tumour contains cystic spaces filled with milky secretions.
